Last week I did a comparison of the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette and the Makeup Revolution Iconic 3 Palette and today I created a look using that Makeup Revolution Palette. The look I created is quite subtle even though in person it definitely wasn't but I'm still getting used to my camera and I find it difficult to get the colours to actually show up but I hope you can get the general idea. As the Iconic 3 palette is so similar to the Naked 3 palette I will refer to the shades I use as their names in the Naked 3 palette as the shades in the Iconic 3 palette haven't been named.
-Firstly, I applied my Urban Decay Primer potion but you can use the primer of your choice, alternatively you could just use some concealer and set it with powder. Im then applying the shade 'Limit' to set the primer in place.
-Then, I blended the shade 'Nooner' into the crease of my eye too help all the shadows blend better. I then added a little bit of an orange shade to my crease, unfourtunatley the Iconic 3 palette didn't have a matte orange so I used one from another palette ('New Rule' from Freedom Makeup)
-To darken the outer half of my eye I mixed both 'Darkside' and 'Moonheart'. Making sure it was very blended.
-I then added 'Dust' all over the lid but I wanted something more noticeable so I then went in with the Makeup Revolution Awseome Metals Eye Foil in the shade 'Rose Gold', this comes with a mixing medium but I find it's pigmented enough by itself.
-Lastly, I added the shade 'Strange' onto my brow bone and inner corner to make my eyes appear bigger.
-To finish the look I used my Yves Saint Laurent Eye Pencil in my waterline to make my eyelashes look thicker and the Rimmel Scandaleyes micro for a thin line along my lash line and used my Lancome Grandiose Mascara but you could use fake Eyelashes for a prettier look.

URBAN DECAY NAKED 3 DUPE!?
Urban Decay's naked 3 is almost identical to Makeup Revolution Iconic 3 palette. Both contain twelve shadows except one is £38.50, and the other is just £4.00. Both palettes contain both matte and shimmer, pink tone eye shadow's.
I know not everyone loves the look of pink tone shadows but I think they look really pretty especially for people with brown eyes. I think Urban Decay's Naked 3 palette was one of the first eyeshadow palettes solely pink based as before palettes tended to consist of Golds and Browns. I think Makeup Revolution's shadows are some of the best ones that you can find at the drugstore and hardly anyone knows about it. I find the shadows are very pigmented and can easily be built up to give the desired look. They are especially good when you wet the brush using some form of setting spray, I like the MAC 'Prep & Prime' Fix+. I think this palette is definitely worth the buy especially for the price you can't really go wrong. Just by looking at these swatches Its easy to see how good these eye shadows are. I have done a post using this palette which will go up next Sunday.
You can get Makeup Revolution products from their website which ships worldwide and if you are in the UK you can get it from selected Superdrug stores. Here are a list of stores stocking Makeup Revolution.
