I HEART MAKEUP BLUSHING HEARTS TRIPLE BAKED BLUSHER REVIEW

Today I'll be reviewing I heart makeup blushing hearts triple baked blusher. I have wanted to try some of I heart makeups products for a while, as I really like Makeup Revolution's products and I believe they are made by the same people. I have really wanted to try their boxed powders and chocolate bar palette (both Two Faced dupes) for a while but they never have them in stock. I heart makeup has quite a few boxed powders but I chose this one because I thought It had a few rose gold shades which I think suit me best. The blusher is not matte which I didn't think I would like but I think its quite pretty, especially for the summer, Also I find I don't need to use highlighter if I don't want to because the blusher gives the same effect. I find the blushers last for the majority of the day but Its difficult to tell because my cheeks go naturally red throughout the day!

The product is split into three sections. The smallest segment is a bright pink, with blue undertones, I personally don't like this shade as much as the others because it is so bright, but I find when I mix the three shades together it creates a really pretty colour on my cheeks. The second colour is a lot more peachy, It is quite similar to the last shade but lighter. I often just mix these two shades and apply it to my cheeks with a stippling brush, as it doesn't apply much product.

Here are the swatches;  The top one is a mix of all three, and the shade next to it is the brightest pink,

I hope you found this review useful, and you enjoyed reading it! If you want to be notified whenever I post you can subscribe to my blog or follow me on bloglovin!

SLEEK HIGHLIGHTING PALETTE IN SOLSTICE REVIEW

Today Im reviewing Sleek's highlighting palette in Solstice. Firstly, I apologise for not posting for a few weeks I have just been so busy with school but I have finished now until September (Which is my last year) so Im hoping to be posting AT LEAST twice a week.
Anyway, I have been wanting to buy this palette for so long but Boots\Superdrug only ever has the palette in the shade 'Precious Metals' which consists of mainly, if not all, cream's; which I don't particularly like because I feel that cream's remove my foundation underneath.

This palette consists of two baked powders: A pinkey shade and a rose gold shade, one cream formula, a beige shade and one powder which is a cream shade. I think I originally liked this palette because of the pinkey shade which is quite unusual to find for a high street highlighter. The quality of the powders I think are very comparable to the BECCA highlighters and for £9.99 that's very impressive. I find the highlighters last on my skin for quite long, so I basically cannot find anything wrong with this palette and it is definitely worth the money!

Here are a swatches of the four highlighters,

Hope you enjoyed this post and it helps you into whether you want to buy this palette or not, Thankyou for reading!

MAKEUP REVOLUTION ICONIC SMOKEY PALETTE

I think this palette has been out for quite a while but I only got it recently. The palette is an amazing dupe for the Urban Decay Naked Smoky Palette, I didn't think I was going to like the palette that much as it contains a lot of cool shades but I actually really like it. It contains twelve shades and only four of them are matte and the majority of the shades are grey so if you don't like grey tones on your eyes this palette may not be for you. The formulation of the eyeshadows are the same as all makeup revolution eyeshadows. This palette is £6 which is obviously a lot cheaper then Urban Decays shadows. The palette also comes with a double sided brush, which is quite good.

I should have a tutorial using this palette going up next week, thankyou for reading!

MY FAVOURITE AFFORDABLE FOUNDATIONS

Today I will going through my favourite affordable foundations. I feel like foundations are such a personal thing, a product could be very popular and then you buy it and it doesn't work with your skin. Some people are lucky enough for their skin to not react with any foundations, but others, the majority, go through so many foundations just to find one perfect for them.

Rimmel Match Perfection I only got this recently, but I have quickly become in love with it. It gives a medium coverage, but it is buildable. The foundation claims to blend with natural skin tone, rather than masking it. It also claims to reduce the size of pores, which I definitely agree with. I always apply the Nivea Post Shave Balm as a primer, which doesn't reduce pore size, which other primers often do, so I know it is the foundations formula. It comes in 12 different shades, ranging from light to dark, so hopefully there is a shade for all skin tones. I am in shade 103 true ivory, which is one of the lightest shade and I am fairly pale.

Loreal Paris Infallible Matte For about three months this was the foundation I had on everyday. It is the best affordable foundation I have found to actually stay on all day while staying matte, However, there are only 6 shades, which is fine for most, but for darker skin tones there is no appropriate shade. I have to mix the shade Ivory and Sand to get my skin tone. I have found it to be a bit cakey on the skin, But it is the only foundation that stays on my skin all day so this doesn't really bother me too much.

Bourjois Healthy Mix I really like this foundation, It claims to last 16 hours which I haven't tested but It definitely lasts for a long time. It is meant to give a healthy glow to the skin without appearing oily, which I also agree with. Again there isn't a large shade range, so it's not great for darker skin tones. I like this foundation because It gives medium coverage but looks invisible on the skin. I am in the shade Light Vanilla, which suits me perfectly.

Loreal True Match I only got this recently and I think it's perfect for people who like a dewy finish for their foundation. Personally I found by the end of the day I looked too shiny and I needed to keep applying powder. However, I know many people like a dewy finish so I thought I would include this in my favourite affordable foundations. Also it comes in 23 shades so is perfect for all skin tones and looks almost invisible on the skin!

ROSE GOLD LINER EYE MAKEUP TUTORIAL

I recently saw a picture on Anastaia Beverly Hills instagram account of a makeup look someone has created (you can see it here), I thought it was so pretty and had to recreate it. My recreation was nowhere near as good as her's but I think that was due to the rose gold foiled eyeshadow I used, I think the girl used Dirty Talk by Colour Pop, a crème gel colour pot. But in England you cannot buy Colour Pop so I could only use what I had.
Firstly I applied the Urban Decay primer potion for my base.
I then applied Kiko's Infinity shadows in the shade 210, into the crease of my eye and the outer third of my eyelid.
I then applied my black liner, I used the Maybelline master precise.
Lastly I applied the rose gold eyeshadow just above the black liner. I found this difficult to do because the chunks of glitter in the eyeshadow were quite big and it was difficult to have a smooth line. I also applied mascara to my top and bottom lashes, I used the telescopic mascara by Loreal. I used eyelure's individual lashes to finish the look.
Thankyou for reading, It wasn't a very difficult tutorial but I thought it was a really pretty look that I wanted to recreate.

LOREAL PARIS COLOUR RICHE LA PALETTE IN NUDE REVIEW

I feel like I haven't wrote a post in ages because my last four of five were scheduled to go up weeks ago. Anyway, today I am reviewing Loreal's lip palette in the shade NUDE, the palette contains six shades and a small lip brush. Each contains 1g of product which is obviously a lot less than normal lipsticks. However, If there is one shade you love and run out of, you would have to buy the whole palette again, which costs £12.99, so you might as well buy a mac lipstick which is similar to the shade.

The first shade is the lightest of the six, It can be worn everyday for a subtle look. The next two are peachy shades, the first has a pink undertone whereas the second has an orange undertone. The fourth shade is a dark pink, the fifth is a darker version of the first shade. And the last shade is a dark brown, I would compare it to Velvet Teddy by MAC.

I would say the shades have don't have a matte finish but I find throughout the day they can be quite drying.

Thankyou for reading, I hope you found this useful.

AFFORDABLE PLUM EYE TUTORIAL

I had some spare time on the weekend to write an extra blog post so I thought I would do a simple plum eyeshadow tutorial using affordable products. I brought some individual lashes a week ago and I really wanted to try them as I find normal fake eyelashes so difficult to apply. On my eyebrows I used the Freedom brow Pomade in dark brown and under my eyes I used the Rimmel wake me up concealer . As a base I used concealer and set it with translucent powder.
-Firstly I applied a dark cool toned purple into the crease. I used the colour 'Goodwill' from the Freedom 32 Eyeshadow palette. Later I further darkened the crease using the shade 'Plumberry' from the Tanya Burr Candy Glam Palette.

I then applied the shade 'Decent' from the Freedom palette. I wetted my brush to make the shadow more pigmented.

Too add a bit of light to my lid I added 'Ballet slippers' from the Tanya Burr palette. It is beautiful shimery pastel pink. I then added my Urban Decay highlighter to my inner corner and browbone.

To finish the look I lined my eyes using my Rimmel Scandaleyes liquid eyeliner and added my eyelure individual lashes. I used around five long and medium lashes.

SKINCARE ROUTINE!

Today I'm going through my morning and evening skincare routines. I always watch skincare routines but a lot of skincare only works for specific skin types, also people want different things from their products. I would say I have dry to normal  sensitive skin. I don't suffer with acne, just the occasional breakout. Generally I choose products to help with uneven skin tone.
My morning and evening skincare routine is very similar but I will state If I do anything different.

In the morning I begin with washing my face to remove any oil from the night before and to cleanse my face. To do this I use my Simple Kind To Skin vital vitamin Foaming Cleanser £4.49, I stopped using this for a few months and tried the Neutrogena Visibly Clear Grapefruit facial wash but while I used it I had break outs, I had not been using any different products so I know this was causing it, when I went back to  the Simple Cleanser my skin improved.
After that I will use toner,  I have only just started using toner but I think It has already made a difference. I am using the Simple soothing toner £3.29,
After I cleanse and tone I will moisturise. To do this I use my Cetaphil Moisturising Lotion £8.99, I have probably gone through about 2 or 3 of these, If ever I don't use this my skin goes very dry and tight. It is a very thin moisturiser so If you like a thicker moisturiser in the morning this may not suit you.
So that's all I will do in the morning before I begin to put my makeup on.

In the evening I repeat the same process but first I take my makeup off using two products. Firstly I use my Cetaphil gentle skin cleanser to remove my face makeup I do this twice and take it off using cotton pads. To remove my eye makeup I use the Clinique Take the day off balm which I have been using for years, I must have gone through up to six tubs! I find it doesn't irritate my eyes and it lasts for ages. Sometimes some of my makeup is still not completely off, so if it isn't I will go in with a cotton bud and the Simple eye makeup remover which usually removes any last trace of mascara.

I strongly advice you to try out at least a few of these products as I think they're all amazing. As well as this, once a week I exfoliate my face, I use the Clinique exfoliating scrub, it is advised to only be used once a week. . Also if I want to use a face mask I will use the No7 Beautiful Skin Energising Mask.

FIRST BLOG POST| Why I started, What will be included in my blog & more!

I was aiming to start my blog at the beginning of the year, but I underestimated how long it takes to design a blog without help and get it to look how I wanted. I spent ages trying to think of a name for my blog but everything just sounded stupid so now I have the simplest name possible. I have been watching youtube for around seven years and have always loved the concept of it but I don't think I would ever do it, I have only recently started reading blog posts but I thought I could give it a try. I'm aiming to do makeup and the occasional hair tutorial, product reviews and baking. Basically anything I want to write about. Im currently in my second to last year of secondary school doing my GCSEs so I don't think I will be able to post more than once a week, but if I have time I will put up additional posts. I want my blog post to go up every Sunday at 11am (GMT). Sorry this post was so boring I just wanted to introduce my blog.
